Print & sew a shopping bag
During this workshop you will learn to paint & print patterns on fabric, creating your own design which will then be made up into a useful tote bag. You will have a chance to play with paint & simple printing techniques. I will provide a plain piece of cotton fabric for you to paint. We will then sew up the fabric into a useful shopping bag. No experience is needed just lots of enthusiasm, this is a relaxed, enjoyable and creative workshop for all. Inspiration will be on hand for you, or if you have an idea of what you would like to do bring it along with you. Refreshments will be provided but if coming for a full day workshop please bring a packed lunch. |

Artshade lampshades
Learn how to make a gorgeous drum lampshade On this workshop you will be learning to paint fabric and to build up your picture using applique, hand & free machine embroidery, to create your own embroidered lampshade! I will give you an insight into how I create my artshades, then you will have a chance to play with paint and to have a go with free motion machine embroidery on the sewing machine and applique. I will bring heaps of old and new fabrics for you to use to build up your own design. I will provide a plain piece of cotton fabric for you to paint. Inspiration will be on hand for you, or if you have an idea of what you would like to do bring it along with you! No experience is needed just lots of enthusiasm, this is a relaxed, enjoyable and creative workshop for all. There are limited places on this workshop so don't miss out. The classes are run at the MS Centre on Campbell St in Lochgilphead. The workshop is 6 hrs long split over two evenings from 6-9pm, it costs £50 and all materials, paints, fabric, lampshade kit, and coffee & cake is provided. |
